Job Description

The Role

Working for a small fast-growing technology business, who after more than a decade of relentless product development and recent high profile client wins, is now looking to develop its Sales organisation. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Strategic Account Director will have responsibility for driving new business sales revenues at C-Level within their core client demographic across EMEA: Broadcasters, Sports Rights Holders and Federations, Production, and Post Production companies. The core objectives of the role are to:

  • Develop and implement strategic business plan within the direct and reseller channel for driving new business sales within broadcast, sports, news, and corporate verticals
  • Engage at C Level within new targeted accounts and existing key accounts to position the solutions effectively to maximise revenue generating opportunities
  • Working with large, complex accounts using solution selling processes and methodology to present your ideas
  • Build and develop close relationships with 3rd party technology partners to maximise new business opportunities
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director to drive successful lead generation campaigns
  • Monitor pipeline opportunities using internal CRM, automated marketing and nurturing tools to nurture those leads
  • Provide weekly forecast and reports to Sales Director
  • Close qualified leads at a rate of 50% within 6 months of qualification
  • Work effectively with Account Support and implementation teams to ensure effective handover of new accounts for day-to-day management
  • Increase contract value through longer- term deals
  • Keep abreast of competitive market landscape and develop innovative and new ideas for commercial activities
  • Manage relationships and develop sales from our reseller network
  • Participate in sales and marketing events that will include weekends, nights and international travel

  • Proven pedigree of consultatively selling complex solutions and or services at C-Level to the broadcast, sports, news, and corporate verticals
  • Experience in Selling SaaS and Technology Solutions at a corporate level
  • New business hunter mentality with an ability to develop long-lasting relationships
  • Very Strong & Proven consultative sales approach
  • Consistent over-achievement of target
  • Proven Track record in building and closing complex multi-million £ deals
  • Existing contact network at C-Level all or some of the following: Broadcasters, Sports Rights Holders and Federations, Production, and Post Production companies.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Excellent, proven networking ability
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in selling media technology solutions or services such as video editing, broadcast workflows, cloud-media technologies and platforms
  • Ability to present the company’s products and services in any environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ambitious and energetic mindset, with a passion for driving new business sales
  • Ability to work as a team player to ensure strong customer satisfaction and sales results

  • Well versed in broadcast/post production buying cycles and technologies such as Avid, Final Cut, EVS and the like
  • A collaborator who seeks to involve others and isn’t territorial
